Add each Service with the name Customers recognise, the price you charge and the time it takes. A Service has organisation-wide defaults, while its Location assignment controls where it is sold, the price and duration at that Location, and whether Customers can book it online.
- Open Organisation > Services in Setora Hub.
- Create the Service and enter its name, duration and price.
- Assign it to each Location that sells it.
- Set the Location price, duration and Available for online booking setting.
- Assign the Service to the right Staff members and check their online bookability.
- Test the Service on the Booking Page.
1. Create the Service
Go to Organisation > Services and select Add Service. Enter a clear name, the Duration (minutes) and the Price (£). You can also add a description and a category to group Services on the Booking Page. Leave Active on when the Service is ready to use.
Select Create Service to save it. Use the name, price and duration you want Customers to see when the effective Booking policy shows Service durations and pricing. A 30-minute Service and a 45-minute Service create different available times in the diary.
Check before moving on: The duration should cover everything the Staff member needs, including any setup or cleanup time. Setora uses this number to work out when the next Customer can be booked.
2. Assign the Service to a Location
A Service must be assigned to every Location where it is sold. From Organisation > Services, open the Service's Manage menu and select Assign to Locations. Choose a Location, then check or change its Duration (minutes), Price (£) and Active setting before selecting Assign to Location.
You can also select the Location with the sidebar Location switcher, open Setup > Services and choose Assign Org-Wide Service. If you have more than one Location, check each assignment separately. A Service assigned to one Location will not automatically appear at another, and each Location can hold its own price and duration for that Service.
Check before moving on: Setup > Services shows the Service as Active, with the price and duration you want at that Location.
3. Make the Service available for online Booking
Select the Location, open Setup > Services and edit the Service assignment. Turn on Available for online booking. Leave it off for Services that Staff only add in Hub. The Services section shows a Bookable Online badge when this setting is on.
Online availability has more than one dependency. The Service must be Active and assigned to the Booking Page's Location. A Staff member must be assigned to the Service, have working times that overlap the Location's Opening times, and be Bookable Online. The Location's Online Bookings switch must also be on. Set up the Staff member in the Staff member guide, then check the Booking Page guide.
Check before moving on: Confirm the Service shows the right price, duration and Bookable Online badge in Setup > Services. Confirm at least one assigned Staff member is also Bookable Online.
4. Charge a different Deposit for one Service
Deposits are normally set once for the whole business. If a single Service needs a different rule, open it in Organisation > Services, choose Deposit Override from its Manage menu and set the Deposit override for that Service.
Use this for the few Services where the standard amount does not make sense, such as a long colour appointment. See Set up Deposits for online Bookings for the full picture.
Expected result
Open that Location's Booking Page and choose the Service. Check the price and duration fields enabled by the effective Booking policy, then confirm an eligible Staff member and available time can be chosen.
If the Service is missing, check the Location assignment, Active setting and Available for online booking setting first. Then check the Staff member assignment, Bookable Online setting, working times and the Location's Online Bookings switch.
Common availability mistakes
- The Service is not listed: It may be inactive, not assigned to the Booking Page's Location, or Available for online booking may be off.
- No Staff member can be selected: Check the Staff member is assigned to this Service and Location, and that Bookable Online is on.
- No times are available: Check Online Bookings, Location Opening times, Staff member working times, time off and Service duration together.
- The price or duration is wrong: Check the Location assignment, not only the organisation-wide Service, because a Location can have its own price and duration.
- The Service ends after closing: Shorten the duration, or extend the Opening times only if that matches how the Location really runs.
If the Service still behaves unexpectedly, open the chat and include the Booking Page link, Location, Service, price, duration, Staff member and the date and time you tested. Support can then check the exact availability path without asking you to repeat the test.
